Since becoming a widow, I'm more aware of my mortality, and with that in mind, my purpose in life. And, after dumping all the altruistic, self-engrandizing vibes about what I can do for humanity with my talents, I'm left with the only thing that's of value: to be an unconditionally loving soul.Boy, does that tick the haters off, as positive stoicism is a non-stick surface. There is no way for their projection of emotional attachments to create an opening for continued, relentless spiritual attacks with me.
