Uncorked N Men and Mental Health with Special Guest Steve Miller

from UnCorked-N-Conversation · host UnCorked N Conversation

Men are less likely than women to talk about their mental health and seek help. Mental health professional, Steven Miller sits down with us to uncork the negative stigma surrounding mental health.  We discuss the cultural disparity among black men and their counterparts, veterans coping with PTSD and mental illness as it relates to domestic violence. Steve presents some helpful approaches for men to seek help and what can be done to help and support them. Our aim is to replace the negative connotation of mental illness with more of a positive disposition as to seek help as a benefit to healthier and happier living.
