1 John 2:12-17   Truth Statement: God does not call us to walk in a way that He does not empower us, by His word and His Spirit, to walk.   Overcoming the Evil One . . .   Overcoming the evil one does not happen apart from being strong in Christ and abiding in the word of God. (v.14) ·         Satan will come at you with accusations, therefore be strong in Christ and know the Word. ·         Satan will seek to tempt you, therefore be strong in Christ and know the Word.   Overcoming the World . . .   Do not love the world, but love the Word. ·         That which you love the most, and that which you fix your gaze and affections on will win your love.     My Response . . .
