Under Armour Diversity Series: Running for Reconciliation with Tréchelle Bunn
from The Shakeout Podcast · host Tréchelle Bunn, Kate Van Buskirk
Tréchelle Bunn is an athlete and activist. Until recently, she wasn’t much of a runner. But in May of 2021, when 215 unmarked graves were discovered on the former grounds of the Kamloops Residential School, Tréchelle decided to take action. She founded a Healing Walk and directed the first Reconciliation Run Half-Marathon, using movement as medicine to empower her communities and reclaim space. Tréchelle is also the recipient of the Student Community Builder Award at last year’s Indigenous Awards of Excellence, and is featured in the Under Armour Diversity Series with Canadian Running Magazine.
