Under the Bridge

I keep hearing about things that lurk underneath bridges. Things that are sometimes scary and other times just plane deadly. There have been a lot of folks that unintentionally stumbled on something they wish they had never seen. Then there are those that go looking for these creatures hoping to see them, maybe understand them, and just hopefully survive the experience. What is it about bridges that either attract strange beasts or place the possibility of something being down there into our minds? A bridge is something that connects one place to another. It is usually crossing over water or a gorge. Sometimes a bridge might span the gap between one world and another.
