Through his teachings, Daniel redirected their focus toward the stars and instilled in them an expectation of a significant future event. Joseph clarifies that these Chaldeans understood the times, and under Daniel's guidance, they evolved from magicians to government officials. They were akin to kingmakers, fulfilling a role similar to that of prophets; they had the power to anoint or declare someone as king. Additionally, they possessed astrological knowledge, which enabled them to understand the times. Daniel's influence set them on a path to seek the Messiah. Joseph reveals that the name Issachar comes from two Hebrew words: "Nasa," a verb meaning to lift, carry, or take away, and "Sachar," meaning wages or reward. He explains that we can operate at a high level of discernment, knowing how to respond to our surroundings, finding our tribal alignment, and pursuing it as God expects of us.
