Understanding and Winning Today's Spiritual Battle

Our Lady of Fatima In the Fatima apparitions, Our Lady asked for consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the first Saturdays. This is a spiritual battle, and we must call on the heavens through prayer and fasting. The Divine Mercy Jesus told Faustina, “I cannot suffer that country [Russia] any longer. Do not tie My hands, my daughter.” She understood that if it had not been for the prayers of souls pleasing to God that whole nation would have already been reduced to nothingness. "Oh how I suffer for that nation which has banished God from its borders!" (Diary of Saint Faustina, entry 818). Millions Killed Over the Years In 1924, Russia liquidated ten million Russian farmers. In 1933, Russia confiscated all the Ukrainian wheat resulting in the death by starvation of 8 million Ukrainians. In 1934, the Great Purge began resulting in the deaths of 1 million, and 2 million more died in the gulags, or prison camps. In the 1940’s, the Greek Catholic Church was outlawed and 4,000 churches closed. Many were sent to prison. And, last but not least, Russia was the first country to legalize abortion! Visit to Russia Dan made a pilgrimage to Russia and miraculously got into the square and the group held up an image of Our Lady and Jesus Christ.
