The project takes public data, makes it usable, and helps consumers derive descriptions and insights about the country. Rukmini has also authored the book “Whole Numbers and Half Truths: What Data Can and Cannot Tell Us About Modern India”. In this episode, I will talk to Rukmini about the monumental effort behind Data for India and why it is important now, her experience working as a data journalist in newsrooms, and the challenges faced along the way during building the project.
