I chat with Dr. Mary Shackelton about how she was guided from childhood to pursue a career in health, her passion of the environment and its impact on human health, her a book on Environmental toxicity and how to prevent having a baby on the Autism spectrum and being co-founder of PridePads Africa, an NGO who's mission it is to provide sanitary pads to girls in Africa to keep them in school.   So much great information in here!   Dr Mary Shackelton is a naturopathic doctor who has been practicing for over 23 years in Boulder. She focuses on detoxification, chronic illness, environmental medicine, with an emphasis in women's health. She has a background in Public Health and has a broad perspective on prevention.  She has a blog in which she writes about her passion of the environment and its impact on human health.  She is a frequent contributor for NDNR- Naturopathic Doctors News and Reviews, and lectures locally on a variety of topics related to Women’s Health.  Dr. Shackelton is the creator and co-founder of Insulite Laboratories, a company dedicated to reversing disorders related to insulin.
