Understanding SEO Without Making It Complicated with Lauren Taylar

from Business Not As Usual with Megan Yelaney · host Megan Yelaney

This week on the #PrettyAwkward Entrepreneur Podcast, I'm chatting with Lauren Taylar, an SEO expert. We are diving into the importance of having a searchable business, meaning a blog, youtube, or a podcast. We are also debunking a lot of SEO myths and you will realize that SEO is not as complicated or overwhelming as you think!    Some topics Lauren and I will be dividing into include: A lot of entrepreneurs think a blog post has to be completely different from social media, but you can take that existing content and repurpose it into a blog post. Debunking the myth that you need WordPress and the Yoast plug-in to rank high in Google. Using long-tailed keywords versus short 1-2 words can make a total difference in terms of visibility.  Instagram and Facebook are borrowed platforms. If they go down, and you've built your entire business around them, you're screwed.   I know SEO can be seen as a super overwhelming topic but it doesn't have to be. I hope this episode brings you tremendous value and gets you thinking about alternatives if you depend on Instagram or Facebook for your business.   So be sure to tune in to episode 60 and take advantage of all the insights and strategies Lauren shares on a simple breakdown of SEO and why it's so important for a long-term business strategy.   As always, stay safe, stay healthy and stay #PrettyAwkward!   If you have enjoyed this episode of the podcast, take a screenshot, head on over to Instagram and share it your IG stories and tag me, @meganyelaney @prettyawkwardentrepreneur   CONNECT WITH MEGAN: Website Instagram Facebook The #prettyawkward Female Entrepreneurs Create Impactful Passive Income
