Understanding the impact of the Sde Teiman affair

UPDATE: Police on Sunday evening said Military Advocate General Maj.-Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was alive and well, after she had been unreachable since the morning, raising grave concern for her safety. Tomer-Yerushalmi resigned last week amid an investigation into her role in leaking video footage related to allegations of severe abuse of a Palestinian detainee by soldiers at the Sde Teiman detention facility. Dr. Eran Shamir-Borer, is Director of the Center for Security and Democracy at the Israel Democracy Institute, and is a Colonel (res.) and former Head of the International Law Department of the IDF Military Advocate General's Corps.
