Karen is a registered nurse and TBRI practitioner who has spent more than two decades working with children and families navigating adoption, foster care, and kinship care. What started at UAB Children’s Hospital has grown into a standalone nonprofit focused on meeting the real, often unseen needs of these families through medical care, mental health support, and guidance for caregivers.
