Understanding the Spectrum with Special Guest Ashley Becker-Nunley

from Imperfect Mommying: Better Parenting through Self-Healing with Alysia Lyons · host Lyons Heart Healing

The difference from someone who did take their child, who displayed the signs and symptoms that seem a little unusual, you are that much more helpful in terms of setting your child up for hitting their milestones for developing those social skills. The social cues and perspective are where the kiddos on the spectrum really struggle. When we start early, it's recommended as soon as we start to see those signs around, two years of age normally, then we want to get them that help. So that way, when they do grow and develop, they can consider other people's perspectives because that was his struggle was thinking. It's how do we understand how others think? And like the figure of speech, for example, it's raining cats and dogs? What if the heck does that mean? Are dogs and cats going to fall from the sky? No.   Get To Know Ashley:   I help families to overcome the challenges they face with their kids to become a stronger, more connected and joyful family.
