Understanding Ukraine: From 1917 to the Present War with Russia

A lot of media figures are talking as if they’re inside the Russian President’s head. From this position they are able to both explain his motives and diagnose his psychopathology at the same time. Such speculation is fine as far as it goes, but what I find more valuable is to understand the historical context in which this conflict arises. In this podcast I will therefore be running over the past approximately hundred years of this history, hopefully explaining where the conflicting Ukrainian and Russian points of view emerge from.
