/Understated: Old Music Killing New Music, Spotify & JRE

We've come out of hiding for a brand new /Understated episode. Last week, there was an article released stating that Old music is killing new music in terms of streaming. That's unexpected and we need to address this. Also, there's some new controversy surrounding a deleted letter penned by musician, Neil Young, to Spotify asking to be removed from the platform if they keep the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. This stems from controversy surrounding misinformation exposed on the JRE podcast. Our take is this matter extends well beyond Covid and urge Spotify to take this moment to step back and think how to pivot and more importantly about their legacy.
