Unexpected 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13

Send us Fan MailDisappointed in King Saul's lack of faithfulness, God sends a Prophet Samuel to anoint the next King of Israel whom God has chosen. Though worried at first the reigning King Saul will kill him for this, God hatches a plan for him to get safely to Bethlehem and specifically, to the family of Jesse. 7 sons are brought in order from oldest to youngest before Samuel but none of them is the one whom God has chosen. There is 1 last son they didn't think to bring in from the field who is shepherding the sheep. It couldn't possibly be him, they thought.
