Unexpected Warrior Verse of the Day! April 5th

from Journey of an Unexpected Warrior · host James Hopkins

1 Thessalonians 5:15 - See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for both yourselves and for all. The Apostle Paul was writing this to the church in Thessalonica, reminding them what Jesus taught us, “…we don’t repay an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth…” (Matt. 5:38)  He said do not “…love your neighbor and hate your enemies.” (Matt. 5:43) Jesus said don’t resist an evil person, whoever slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other to him as well… If a man wants your clothes, give him your jacket also. If they want you to go with them one mile… go two miles! If someone asks for something, give… (Matt. 5:38-42) In other words, love conquers all… love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who spitefully use and persecute you that you may be the sons, the daughters of your Father (Matt. 5:43-45) And be an Unexpected Warrior!
