Unfiltered by Samdish ft. Omar Abdullah

This time I parachuted from Delhi to land right in the middle of the ongoing (fiery) Jammu & Kashmir Elections to witness the madness that comes along when a state(?) experiences elections after a 10-year-long interlude! I spent a day with Omar Abdullah, my close friend, former J&K Chief Minister and Vice President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference for this episode. Before sitting down for a chat in his lawns (for the second time), I hijacked Omar Sahab’s shotgun seat on the way to the Ganderbal constituency for his nomination filing programme. I witnessed the star politician getting overwhelmed after his emotional speech to the people of Ganderbal, his “rockstar” sitting-on-the-sun-roof campaigning style, why UP’s CM is his favourite CM *wink wink* and a lot more! We also discussed how important this election is for him, his defeat in the Baramulla constituency in the Lok Sabha Elections, the emergence of independent candidates in J&K and how he won’t give me a third interview in case he gets elected (IYKYK).
