Kruger National Park is South Africa's largest and most famous game reserve, located in the northeastern corner of the country across the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, stretching along the borders of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. National Park Proclamation (1926): The Sabie and Shingwedzi game reserves were merged under the new National Parks Act and officially named Kruger National Park on May 31, 1926. Opening to Public (1927): The park welcomed its first paying leisure visitors, eventually growing into a world-class conservation and safari destination.
