Donald Trump is trying to take control of the US Postal Service. According to the Washington Post, Trump plans to sign an executive order that will fire the Postal Service’s governing board so the agency will no longer function independently, He wants the USPS under the control of the Commerce Department and Secretary Howard Lutnick. The board isn’t going quietly and is reportedly planning to sue. Elon Musk celebrated firing government workers at CPAC last night by parading around on stage with a chain saw. In addition to being woefully insensitive as people lose their incomes, his chain saw approach to making cuts has resulted in some agencies scrambling to rehire key workers.
