At the White House press briefing, Trump announced Attorney General Pam Bondi will oversee the federal takeover—while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will provide military support “if needed.” Additionally, the administration will assign 120 F.B.I. agents to conduct nighttime patrols throughout Washington D.C.
