United Airlines Builds World’s Largest Pilot Training Hub | Denver News
from Denver News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
United Airlines just unveiled its massive new pilot training hub in Denver — now the largest flight training center on Earth, with eight buildings, 700,000 square feet, and 86 simulators. Since 2022, they’ve added 40 new simulators, bringing total capacity to train up to 860 pilots daily and 32,000 sessions annually — the only place for United’s nearly 18,000 pilots to stay certified. CEO Scott Kirby calls it the safest way to train, letting crews practice rare scenarios. Phase two is already underway: Denver City Council approved land near the airport, with groundbreaking slated for 2027 and full operation by 2030. The airline has invested over $370 million since 2016 and employs more than 1,600 people there — and hiring more.
