United joy for Julius as Dundee feel Lions’ bite

Dundee United ended their four-game losing run in the Premiership in dramatic fashion with a 3-2 victory over 10-man Falkirk. What does the winning goal mean for United’s forgotten man Julius Eskesen? We discuss the contentious red card shown to Liam Henderson and the performance of Craig Sibbald; a man who is out of contract in the summer and will have no shortage of suitors. And there’s no rest for the wicked, with a Scottish Cup showdown against The Spartans up next. Across the road, Simon Murray ended his 18-game goalless streak with a deadly double against Livingston. However, the Dark Blues somehow endeavoured to throw away their 2-0 advantage against rock-bottom Lions. Again. We pick the bones out of a bonkers first half at Dens and ask: what was Jon McCracken thinking? And does the form of Kilmarnock – even after their agonising defeat against Celtic – mean Dundee are still looking over their shoulders ahead of a testing run of games? In place for this Monday edition are Courier Sport’s Dundee United writer Alan Temple, Dundee FC writer George Cran and former Evening Telegraph sports editor Graeme Finnan.
