United Way Vita Tax

Talked w Donna Pulda, CVA, VP Volunteer Svcs, Alexia Savage, SPV Communications & Resource Development, United Way of PBC. We talked about the history of the United Way and several of their programs including the VITA TAX free tax preparation program. This is the 14th year that the Vita Tax program has been helping folks in the community determine with their taxes and making sure that if they qualify for the EITC they receive it. The program has 3 options: Listeners can go enter their info on the website, or they can go to one of the multiple sites around PBC and enter on the computer (with a person to ask questions) or have an IRS trained volunteer enter their taxes into the computer for them. The sites and programs are all listed on the website . Listeners can also sign up to volunteer through the website or make donations.
