Unity of the Spirit Intro: Union, Communion and Partnership

At the start of each year, our leadership team seeks to put words to what the Holy Spirit is stirring in our church family and from the Spirit's leadership to set our vision for the year ahead. In this episode, Jimmy shared about our word for 2023:  we believe God has called us to be a people committed to the Unity of the Spirit anchored by four key passages of Scripture • Isaiah 33 – Humility, Surrender and Consecration (Drop the Oars) • John 17 – Jesus's Prayer for Unity • Acts 2 – Jesus's Unified People (the church) Filled with theHoly Spirit • The Book of Ephesians – Jesus's Plan for Unity We realize that it would take more than a lifetime to mine the riches and the majesty of the unity that is ours in the Holy Spirit. For our church family in 2023, we believe God is leading us to cultivate three key aspects of unity of the Spirit: • Our Union with God • Our Communion with the saints • Our Partnership together in His mission. We believe that cultivating the unity of the Spirit through Union with God, Communion with the saints and Partnership together in His mission will bear fruit in our lives and our church family of a stronger love for Jesus, a greater sanctification into Christlikeness in our character, a deeper affection for one another in our relationships and a wider display of His glory through our lives as a witness to the world.
