Universal Monsters: Dracula- Why Are Vampires Considered So Sexy? (not by us)

In this weeks episode, Ryan makes Jamie read the Image limited series, Universal Monsters: Dracula. Written by James Tynion IV, art by Martin Simmonds and lettering by Rus Wooton. They also go on tangents about comparing it to the original Bram Stoker novel, Dracula as a metaphor for old euroscepticism, why vampires are considered so sexy (again, not by us), and the complete failure of Universal's Dark Universe. Timecodes00:00 - Intro02:45 - Comic Credits07:04 - Brief History of Dracula11:02 - Starting with the Arting15:10 - Old Memory Storage and Game Consoles17:15 - Back to the Art18:20 - Differences Between the Book and the Film/Comic (Spoilers)24:36 - Facial Hair Histories26:06 - Back to the Comic28:26 - Dracula as a Metaphor For Old Euroscepticism32:49 - Back to the Story of the Comic44:19 - 46:40 -Sexy Vampires (according to other people)1:08:43 - Ryan Badly Explains the Dark Universe1:21:29 - Favorite Vampire Based Media1:26:13 - OutroYouTube- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_2GA9q40JoBmnbOrkjGuJg Apple Podcasts- https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-comic-literate-podcast/id1670647884 Spotify- https://open.spotify.com/show/4hd5lO43gSZyyh5UEmcq2U?si=NOE0uX4iRHWGDwIoCRfndQ Google Podcasts- https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy50cmFuc2lzdG9yLmZtL3RoZS1jb21pYy1saXRlcmF0ZS1wb2RjYXN0Pocket Casts- https://pca.st/r8b1cyg7
