from Shaping Success With Wes Tankersley · host Wes
Send us Fan MailWelcome to Wes’ first interview in the new studio! Wes checks in with his good friend Nikki Pavlovich one year after their last interview. Much has happened since then.Nikki is now a part of Wes’ network by helping him with his podcast. She writes the show notes for the episodes and shorts and posts the shorts to YouTube. Nikki was an English major in college, and is a writer. She developed writers’ block some years ago and is working on getting past it. She is slowly getting back to writing creatively, but a busy life keeps her from doing it regularly right now. Wes is reminded of a thought that optimism won’t make you successful, but pessimism guarantees no success. A mental block can be an old way of thinking. For example “ What if it doesn’t work?” Instead of “What if it does?” Nikki keeps challenging herself to keep growing. One way she’s challenging herself is through Toastmasters. Last year, her best friend suggested she join to help with public speaking since she and Wes will be doing a radio show. On November 1, 2022, Nikki joined Toastmasters. This has helped her gain confidence in public speaking and meeting new people. The people she’s met through Toastmasters are amazing and supportive of her efforts. Nikki gave her first speech at Toastmasters and ended up winning Best Speaker. She was very surprised, but Wes was not because he knew how much she prepared for it. He says he bets others are not surprised either. She and Wes discuss the importance of doing the work and letting that show how good a person is. There is no need to brag, but be proud of the hard work put in.To prepare for speeches, Nikki organizes what she wants to say in an introduction, body of the speech, and the conclusion. After rehearsing the speech a few times, she then records the speech on her phone mostly for time. Growth has been obtained through Toastmasters by meeting new people and getting used to getting up in front of people and talking. She gets lots of support and great feedback from the other members. She is getting more and more comfortable with the process.Another way she is growing is using the Enlifted Method. She did an Instagram live with Mark England the co-creator of the Enlifted method. Nikki is looking forward to further improving her public speaking through Toastmasters and getting out of her comfort zone more. She wants to continue to learn from Wes and the network he’s created. #shapingsuccesspodcast #westankersley #patreon #toastmasters #markengland #enlifted #growth #rock #speech #motivationalmusichour #writer #support #breath #interview #optimismFollow Nikki onTik Tok: http://TikTok.com/thebaconlovernikki Http://TikTok.com/thebaconlover2.0 Instagram: http://instagram.com/nikkipav1_ Facebook: http://facebook.com/Nikkipavlovich Follow Wes onEmail: [email protected]: Patreon.com/Wes TankersleyLinkedIn: LinkedIn.com/westankersleyFacebook: facebook.com/westankersley Facebook.com/successwarriorcrewInstagram; instagram.com/wes.tankersleySupport the showFor merchandise, podcast and youtube:Join The Patreonhttps://patreon.com/WestankersleyFollow Shaping Success https://shapingsuccesspodcast.buzzsprout.com/Get Ars Victorioushttps://a.co/d/5f4todGhttps://a.co/d/5f4todGEmail [email protected] for guest ideas or to be on the show!
