To reflect glory, not to steal it. But something shifted in his heart. The first crack in creation came through one seductive thought:“I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God… I will make myself like the Most High.”— Isaiah 14:13–14 (AMP)Lucifer didn’t want to worship anymore — he wanted to be worshiped.He wasn’t satisfied with his portion. He wanted more.And just like that, the curse of competition was born — not in a battlefield, but in the heart of one who forgot that purpose is not about power… it’s about position in God’s divine design.Heaven trembled. War broke out. And Lucifer was cast down.The First Lie on Earth: “You’re Not Enough”Lucifer didn’t stop in heaven. He brought his rebellion to earth.His target? The ones made in God’s image — Adam and Eve.He didn’t show up with horns or hatred. He came with a question — subtle, slippery, and deadly:“Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”— Genesis 3:1 (NIV)And then the dagger:“God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God...”— Genesis 3:5 (NIV)Think about it.Adam and Eve already had everything: life, beauty, dominion, daily fellowship with God.But the enemy convinced them that it wasn’t enough. That they weren’t enough. That they needed to compete with God to become who they were “really” meant to be.And so they ate.And just like Lucifer, in their quest to rise above their role, they fell beneath their calling.The curse of competition had entered humanity.“Why are you so angry? Why is your face downcast?
