Unlocking the Fibula

Fun fact about the fibula- its name in Latin (fibula) and Greek (peroneal) means: "clasp." I love this fact because you can easily see why it was named that; not only does it look like a clasp or safety pin when it is next to the tibia, but its ability to move is imperative for optimal function because, like a safety pin, it connects things together. When it is locked, it can wreak havoc on things. Spend 30min with me on a tour around the fibular anatomy.
