He has worked in critical care, trauma, ED, and rapid response nursing. He is currently a nursing professional development instructor for his hospital system where he specializes in mentoring new grad nurses through their first year of practice.As a nurse specialist in the US Dept. of Health and Human Services National Disaster Medical System, Chuck traveled throughout the country during the pandemic setting up crisis ICUs and providing critical care assistance for facilities that were overwhelmed by COVID. In these settings, he saw new grad and novice nurses in situations over their heads, without senior nurses to help them out.
