Unmuted Part 1 (Demons of silence: Shhh… 🤫) “One day Jesus cast out a demon from a man who couldn’t speak, and when the demon was gone, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed, but some of them said, “No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons.” Others, trying to test Jesus, demanded that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority. He knew their thoughts, so he said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.” Luke 11:14-17 NLT Introduction  Spoken words are powerful  The bible start with God speaking everything to existence  Didn’t end there, He also spoke a blessing upon us to be fruitful and multiply  People speak a lot about generational curses but very little about generational blessings  The devil prefers to silence you because he knows the power your words possess  The enemy wants us to be muzzled up like a person who has been kidnapped  When one is kidnapped they blindfolded and muzzled up so that they can’t communicate or cry for help He doesn’t want us to speak the word of God or testify about our salvation in Christ He wants us to speak negative and say nothing about Gods grace and love  Power Of The Tongue  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 NKJV NB: Power is in the tongue  We are leaving in the words of someone who pronounced and declared what we see e.g. Your father said to your mother I love you 🥰 and a family was made Maybe your teacher or parent told you that you will succeed in life and that encouraged you to do well in life On the contrary the negative words can destroy someone especially when they are spoken by someone in authority  If such happened, you need to be delivered from such words How? Speak opposite what the enemy says about. You are the prophet of your own life, so speak what you want to see happening in your life  Parents carry a very strong prophetic power over their children.  We need to mind what we speak over our children, even when we are angry. A lot of curses have been spoken in a spare moment that has long lasting effect and consequences  Silence Isn’t Always Golden  Satan uses sin; guilt and shame to shut us up in the time of prayer and declaration  Every time you want to pray, he reminds you of the wrong you’ve done  When this happens, remind him of his future and tell him that your sins are forgiven by Jesus Christ  He silent our testimony and make it insignificant in our minds He says you shouldn’t speak up if you don’t have status or money   Ungubani wena? Who do you think you are Demons don’t want you to speak out, they want you silenced They don’t want you to speak up about you trauma and anxiety so that you can get help He wants you to internalize all your hurt so that no one will reach out  He keeps on preaching negativity in your mind  If hurt is not healed, it comes out in anger, rage, and emotional distress. Later on it is transferred to the propel around you even your children. Circle repeats itself  Not Everyone Is Happy For You  People criticized Jesus for healing a person instead of celebrating with their fellow man for his healing  They were also silent but their body language and thought were too loud Jesus could hear their thought hence He confronted them They demanded the sign after and ignored the one that Jesus had just did for the mute man Be careful of the people not all of them will be happy for your deliverance  Conclusion: Break The Silence Luke 18:38-39 NKJV We should be like the blind man by overcoming every obstacle  Cry to Jesus for help, He will come through for you  We shouldn’t break our silence with gossiping; speaking negative and being cynical  Our silence must be broken by speaking the word of God and prayer  Gods word is powerful and active Let’s not allow the demons to silence us, God has given us power to speak and declare the name of Jesus
