Unpacked With Caroline Burckle
from Unscripted With Akeem Haynes Hosted by Akeem Haynes
This week on the show Caroline Burckle joins me on the show. Caroline is a former Olympic swimmer. She represented the USA at the 2008 Olympic games where she helped America win a bronze medal in the 4x200 meter freestyle relay. She's a graduate of the University of Florida where was a 23-time all-American, and in 2008 she was the NCAA female swimmer of the year she broke one of the oldest standing NCAA women's records in the 500-yard freestyle. Post-retirement Caroline co-founded the rise athletes coaching program which helps empower athletes to be their best and helps them control their emotions and the pressures that come with high-performance sports. However, I didn't hear about caroline because of her swimming accolades, I heard caroline's story of how she got to where she is today and the struggles and valleys she had to cross to find herself. This Episode: Her swimming career & Experiences Lessons from her parents Why does she feel like she was never fully heard Wanting to please everyone Why she the Olympic experience was great and a load at the same time Her journey through transition and why it took her a while to get back on her feet Finding self-worth mentally and physically The start of rise athletes and so much more. this is an episode you really dont want to miss.
