Today’s big idea: We have talked about the unseen battle against us, our children, parenting and marriages and how to counterattack them. As we end our focus on the UNSEEN BATTLE today, I want to talk about the unseen attack on single young people. 00:40 Ephesians 6:12 01:05 We learned that the battle is not against flesh and blood. 03:00 Today isn’t opinion or current experience – but purely a biblical presentation of the unseen battle against singles… 05:22 If you are here today and you are between 18-25 you are still probably in a season where you are “cool with being single”…it’s not a huge issue. 06:30 Therefore, and follow me here today… in the Old Testament, if you were single, you were considered cursed. 07:40: What is the secular world view for singles? - Marriage is an age-old institution that has no relevance… 09:00 So now “romantic relationships are about SEX. 11:00 The devil’s strategy is to make you think you are cursed if you DON’T GET MARRIED. BIG IDEA: This is the strategy… and if you feel this way long enough - you may give-up on the biblical pattern of doing your singleness or marriage. 23:50 Matthew 19:8-10 25:08 Matthew 19:11-12 25:30 He referred to such men and women as eunuchs, figuratively. 26:01 Ultimately, biblical singles are celibate. 26:33 Their main purpose of their being was to serve in the court of their King or Queen: Be the HIGH SERVANT of their master. 28:00 Matthew 19:12 29:30 Some choose not to marry for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven… 29:53 1 Corinthians 7:7-8 31:10 The place where God has you right now, is where He has you where He can use you the most in your entire life. 33:02 1 Corinthians 7:3-4 34:20 Get your focus on this stage, not the next stage… 35:03 Your loneliness will not be fixed with marriage.
