Unshaken faith when all my hope is lost [UNSHAKEN 21]

There are so many things that can weigh down on us and steal our hope, things like our present problems, our worries and fears, our glaring loneliness, our deep disappointments, or our failures and unmet expectations. In Lamentations 3 we find a powerful example of a man who had all the reasons to despair and yet proclaimed “‘The Lord is my portion’, says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him’” (v. 24).
