In May 2006, 32-year-old Rey Rivera vanished after receiving a mysterious phone call at hisBaltimore home. Eight days later, his body was discovered inside an unused conference room atthe historic Belvedere Hotel, beneath a hole in the roof. His glasses and phone were foundnearby, strangely undamaged.Authorities initially theorized he jumped from the hotel’s rooftop, but questions about thedistance, lack of witnesses, and unexplained circumstances led the medical examiner to rule thecause of death as “undetermined.” Rey’s family believes foul play may have been involved.
