Daniel is the Volunteer Coordinator for the AZ Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry. Daniel retired from the Army after serving as a Military Police Officer for 21 years and has participated in Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief, Law & Order, United Nations Peacekeeping, and Combat Operations worldwide. He served as Patrol Officer/Supervisor, Team/Squad Leader, NCOIC, SRT (SWAT) Member, Master Trainer, Firearms & Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor, Air Assault School Instructor, and was a member of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). Daniel’s non-military positions include Federal Law Enforcement Officer, Corporate/K-12 Security Professional, Executive Protection Specialist, and University Director of Public Safety. He is a member of the AZ Statewide Peer Support Association, the International Law Enforcement Educators & Trainers Association, and American Legion Post 34, Cave Creek, AZ. He is certified as a Basic Peer Support Team Member, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) member, School Resource Officer (SRO), and Protective Services Detail (PSD) leader and has previously supported the U.S. Marshals Service, Special Operations Group (SOG). Daniel earned his Master’s degree from Webster University and his Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
