Unstoppable pt 1 - Servant

Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love…   (John 13:4-5) “…so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him…”   (John 13:12) “When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them.”   (John 13:13) “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.”   (John 13:14) “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.”   (John 13:15) “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”   How do you love?  How do you serve this way?   2 simple ways:   1.    Find a need and fill it.   (Titus 3:14) “(Christ-followers) must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives.”   2.    Find a hurt and heal it.   (Isaiah 61:1-3) “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”   (John 13:17) “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”   (Titus 3:8) “I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.”   (1 Timothy 6:17-19) “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”    (Hebrews 6:10 NLT) “He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other Christians.”   Unstoppable Serving means..   1.    I am doing my part (Ephesians 4:16) “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”   2.    I am His hands and feet   "Christ prays in me, Christ speaks in me... Christ looks through my eyes, Christ speaks through my words, Christ works with my hands. Christ walks with my feet, Christ loves with my heart."  Mother Teresa   (Galatians 2:20) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”   3.    I will never regret it   (Matthew 25:21) “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things so; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!”
