Until you came along
from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch
Until you came along Despite the prior ones that I lusted There were just a few women I trusted Somehow it seemed I always got it wrong Can’t recall this much sunshine until you came along Days that made this man bite his lip and curse the sky The times where repeated failures cause you to question why Head ringing like being in a belltower and my head is the gong Good vibrations developed that weren’t there until you came along You came along, and took it all back to square one Making even the littles things seem like big fun You came along, and made me long all day for the stars to come out So, we can lay together and stare up at them, laugh and dream about Tomorrow's that seemed to be forever out of reach Are now all around us full of things to learn and teach No more singing the blues, now we sing a happy song Time to enjoy what I was missing until you came along No more hanging your head Kites to fly instead There’ll be no more singing the blues Said we both have overpaid our dues Yeah, no more sing the blues, belt out a happy song Cause it’s high time baby to enjoy what was missing Until you came along Tim Windisch 09/24/2021
