Camp Half-Blood's Hermes cabin are engaging in a friendly practice game of Capture the Flag - it's a teambuilding exercise, although the exasperated Pippa and competitive Helga have their own reasons for participating. Meanwhile, the dryad Kindling notices something is very, very wrong in the forest. When the three of them enter the woods to solve the problem on their own, they realize that a threat to the camp has resurfaced for the first time since they were young.
