My name's Andy and as always I'm joined by the pocket rockets Emma so excited about this show So excited about episode one. I can't wait to just talk about NXT without feeling really guilty Really please to know what Christmas Eve and we did say we weren't gonna do another one But after watching NXT from London the tapings from London. We thought hey, let's make this episode once He's only went and we were there brought all the memories back brought all the smell of sick the smell of moldy moldy stale lager and hearing Southerners yes, just as a slight kind of aside to this I read an interview with Paige off of the main roster Do you think we're gonna be doing this?
That's all gonna talk about the name of this? We said oh, you know what is it about the British crowd that you know, it's so good. She said you know, they're great They're really good at my people. I think a lot of time they just pissed It's like yeah after after London and being a Manchester, you know seeing Raw's and you know black black Pull was probably the most sober wrestling show that was just people of high or life.
Yeah, but London was its usual pissy pissy Let's get the beer in Okay, so we're interested to your feedback from this so this is our sort of Testing the waters so to speak for a new show and I'm gonna do yeah, let's get into it So I tweeted so I start the show as we always do The shout out to a little sponsor and sponsor of up next is Jack Daniels. So what is it not like the League of nerds wasn't on it? It's all good But I was really really excited to watch the tapens So I'm just talking because I'm just trying to retrieve something he's got onto the floor So I'm just trying to get a filter for a smoking dirty smoking up Yeah, so yeah, really excited to see because obviously we're in the building the tapens worked slightly strangely towards because The first lot that you see on the show was before take over and then the return of some his aim was after take over So poor Greg Hamilton had to try and drag everybody in personally back into the seats because they were all leaving Yeah, so we open up From London for NXT tapens with a fatal four-way tag team match Oh, well well then well later just start the night Jesus Christ phenomenal absolutely amazing amazing. So first out we get the Ford villains very big pop of the vlogal Yeah dressed up as what I thought was Holmes and Watson.
No, you know It was Tom Baker's Yeah How happy everybody was to see that I was surprised at myself because you know as we've said many many times hammering the point home We were there we were there I was pretty much always happy to see the vlog villains Well, we've had that we've had that ride with them because they've been on it for ages and that whole moment in Brooklyn as well Of them winning in the whole thing. Yeah, they tried to turn him here, but they never you know It's nothing I think they could make good heels. They're really weird because I feel like they've kind of each They've been to have a quite a while at each opportunity I feel like there's always just they're always a bright way to never the bride is always another tag team was just captured everyone's attention like a Little bit just just the wrong time to them, you know, like ends over a cast obviously they're huge huge characters And then you've got Jordan Gable Yeah, but still the crowd were really into them and when they came out was a massive cheer also the blue pants thing did just Hammer at home But yeah, that's the thing that's the thing with an exit is it's stacked and any type team can come and go really quick Speaking of coming and going the next team out with a height bros Now I I felt really bad at this because I didn't think they would get the response They did and to be first on people cheering if you'd turn to the sound off And so watch them come in you think the crowd were in so they really really were obviously the hype rose They're doing their thing like coming out and being absolutely insane I was really surprised and I've said this before and I said it on a other show when we started talking about an It's you know done Show in this way that whenever I've been at a main roster show a roar and I just come out through the super stars Matt's you know whatever people have gone crazy for him You'll dress like him and you'd think but they'd want to see him But that's that's kind of the cool thing you know Without always making this a massive love letter to NXT That's the great thing about NXT in the sense of someone comes down from the main show and at one point That was like oh my god. This is so good for an exit.
I don't need you fuck off Yeah, it's a little bit like that's how they're received that yeah Tyson kid got in at the right time and if he came in now, I don't think he'd be that well received We say we you know we are yeah, we are we are Yeah, I just don't think people Think they need him and the fact that he is apart time of there because obviously as his commitments elsewhere So that's the interesting thing because you brought up a really good point it on what we're watching it Yeah, in this because we went to the black pool show as well and they were all over the place and given how I mean We'll talk about Jordan and Gable next but they they that went that went wild in black pool that went absolutely wild I'm sure it was great everywhere else, but I can always speak of black pool. Yeah, and a chant I believe started in black pool as far as I'm aware Yeah, maybe not but I thought it did and I think that the high-bro should have been on that tour It should have been on the tour because by the time because you know, you can argue with it Oh, well, they weren't they went on television yada yada yada, but yeah by the time it got to London everyone was doing the chance from the tour Yeah, so obviously there's a lot of people who've been on the tour over there There's a lot of people watch videos YouTube videos of what I'd gone on. Yeah watch our videos. Thank you very much Yeah, they've gone absolutely We'll never do anything about that.
I know it's crazy So yeah, I just think this should have been on that tour. It should not talk right it doesn't have a role on the main shows There's no excuse for him not them to pet him So this is a thing so so I don't Gets kept back for things like superstars and main event and all this shit and then he joins up with mojo and does the NXT thing If they're serious about it, you've got to be serious about it. It's like anything It's like any body like any team like the Ascension when they went up. Yeah, you know, you've got you've got to be serious about it Or it ain't gonna work I suppose this is where I just eat my words from five minutes ago in a way because I say that The other reason Tyson went over is because it was the right time and NXT haven't quite had that massive massive moment Yeah, it was gathering pace.
However, he was fully committed to my XT Yeah, I hate me for saying it even Marie is fully committed to NXT She's not been back on the main show But the fact that um rider goes back and forth and he's apart time. I don't think you could be apart time We're in an it's see I just don't think the crowd do accept you No, I think you've got to commit and be fully there and you've got to be an XT and you've got to like fully if you're there And you've got a bit of star power. I know he's gonna upload But if you've got a lot of power then you've got to stay there. Yeah, it's sad because I I'm a big fan of like rider I know Colton is who does the WWE locker talk show and this this seemed like something that would get over But if they just part time and it's not it's not gonna happen Should have been on the tour should have been on the tour to build up some momentum I do believe that they would have gotten into London Potentially as massive stars because something could have happened on the other shows of game momentum on every show a chance anything Yeah, I mean, yeah, I got a good match.
Yeah, I got a good bit of time in the ring. God knows what London would have been like for them Yeah, it's a missed opportunity for even one match. Oh, but this is what we're saying like before this tour I mean, I think John and Gable were over like the crowd full-style crowd really behind him. They got massive cheers when they came out of Brooklyn But then again, so did the high-brows when they did that And it is that familiarity thing So like we posted a video loads of other people posted videos from Blackpool and then from Nottingham from Cardiff of the no-limit song the In excess the band that's it's all limited.
Yeah, is that what the band is called? Yeah, yeah, yeah, right? Yeah, so it's under that no-limit song they're doing they're doing that chant purely out nowhere And whether it did start black people are starting somebody out somewhere else where it started It started really organically and if any of the high-brows were against like some team you've never heard of and they just just there to squash him Then you never know you never know what it could be like really it takes me about it because I do think that there's something there with The high-brows and I'm not a mad fan of mojo rolling wheel. No, I'm not I do like that rider and if we look at it in the sense of I'm a huge NXT fan And I'm not afraid to say it unfortunately that I wasn't a fan of Jordan and Gable at all You and I had to see a discussion as you and I ever have when I was saying I just think they're boring.
I don't even know their names I forget their faces. Yeah, you just like I can put a disagree with you I don't understand why how you can say that and then that was literally a couple of days before black ball And it was purely on how the crowd responded to them. I'm now a fan of them Which is nuts. It's nothing to do in a way with them.
I'm now watching them and going oh Christ. They're actually really good Yeah, and it's down to the crowd making me sit up and take notice of them So that's the power yeah the crowd getting behind somebody yeah, and you have to be there You've got to invest your time. You've got to give them time but give them a good show whether it's a house show But yeah, I'm sorry rider. Well the people who own right.
I'm not gonna say him because I'm sure he's fine with it Yeah, people who own right as you know the main guys, you know, it's so you can not think of his face on TV for that live tour But it would have been well worth it. Oh definitely yeah It would be worth it and you never know it might happen in the future because at the moment They've got a few tag teams probably above them in the pecking order So maybe they're holding it back and waiting for a few teams to go up and then that's when the high bros will get a moment I hope so but also in this match we get like a movie with a lexical in our dressers for any cruga I think they were in Christmas outfits when it was definitely like because that's what the commentators are saying Oh, because I thought the Reding Green was for Christmas, you know? No, it was I think hers looked more Christmasy But the other one of the other ones had like a Freddy Krueger Really? I'd like to tell the past my buyers what they were invested Yeah, that's what the commentators were asking about after the commentators missed on the fact that Simon got to try to solve the screwdriver.
They completely missed that. Yeah, so let me get the match After Gable and Jordan come out so an absolute heroes welcome amazing chance amazing much all the way through Yeah, high bros hardly got in But if beforehand I mean like you said about the crowd being so into it you're not a fan of gable especially now I think the compliment each other very well what gable is another Daniel Bryan to me He's another level Daniel Bryan level wrestler the technical side of the submissions the you know the crazy transitions And Simon got really poorly out as well because he was doing all that with him So that was great So I think a really good match maybe before the take over or maybe at the next take over if another tag team get the shot of the titles for any reason is Gable and Jordan versus the vaudeville and that'd be really really interested right and I know it's like it's kind of I'm a core but just with a bit more time and a bit more momentum behind them as well I'm I'll be intrigued to see how the crowds whether any of that kind of follows them over Yeah, the full-cell crowd give a shit about I know what the London crowd you might do is a matter got the backup because like they're normally the ones that create all the chance so Sorry for the full-cell crowd for my sister. Yeah, but right now. Don't yeah Like about a year ago.
I can't be amazing to be in that crowd now. It's like yeah everyone's going now fucking for sale Yeah, so after a stunning match with a lot of really really cool spots and I would really interesting moments of the crowd Jordan and Gable pick up the winner so be very interested to see where they go from here Need your reaction. They've got to be number one contenders To me. Yeah, but I see because they are it they are a face team Are you Dawson are you dash are also a heel team?
So I just makes perfect sense, but we'll see if they're the ones who take the titles often because if they don't I mean what Why he's ending big cuss not taking it maybe it's because they want that moment for Jordan Gable only think they're gonna go up Quicker who knows who knows who knows? Yeah, so everyone gets used correctly. Oh definitely. I'm gonna get a little backstage segment between Emma down a brook Oscar scary as well.
She's really scary. She's really the eyes I didn't reach the eyes. That's what I find about her. No, she's a she's get all the three of them now I mean, I'm not a matter of those backstage promos quite like it when they talk to an interview and talk it in trash talking So I hate those kind of really still septed ones just I can't stand them when the camera's not quite supposed to be there Yeah, however, I think they did really well with it I'm like Emma.
I like Emma in that heel character. I like down a brook down a brook is just like if you ever seen Wolf of Wall Street She just reminds me of me now to caprios wife in it. You know, she's like the Duchess Yeah, I'm gonna start calling herself a duchess. But she's just hello.
I just find really funny She's just really funny and she's throwing her boarding guts into every line she delivers and every moment she gets I feel like she's throwing everything after it. Yeah, great She's got some she's she does really gutsy performances and considering she's not been in the ring and she's just been outside of it Yeah, I mean the injury that's not breaking ground. That's probably why she's not been out for it. She's great I really like her hated her hated her when she first got there.
I couldn't stand her as a bit too overly sexualized for me in the ring Yeah, but no, I really really like her. No, she's only down Speaking of funny segue or next we get bald emcee out It I think we said this on a previous show as well and but the match that we got black pool was bald emcee vs. Tidal and I know who's saving tight on you for a little bit later on in the show Yeah, I kind of just wanted to see that on TV I don't know why that that bald emce Tidal and your match couldn't have been a TV match It was excellent. It was such a good match.
It was one of my highlights of black pool Yeah, it was so funny. I think that's probably it landed itself really well to a live show because they both literally just worked the crowd and made that so there's not a lot of wrestling Yeah, it seems to be in the ring for ages though, whereas this was quite quick and it got you know that that finished your move man Well bald emcee against Elias Thompson somebody who also Would have benefited from a few live shows? Yes. Yes.
Why the hell would they just do that? I don't understand who this guy is. Yeah, bald emcee works all the live shows and gets squashed and this dude had debuted at Brooklyn He debuted before he's debuted before it's like the re-read debut and it's been showing That was brother as well, but yeah, but yeah, I finished it. Sorry finishing move is an elbow drop And like you can see like so if you go back and rewatch it there's a guy in the front row that you can see and he's sort of sat there It's kind of looks like he's on his phone a bit any sort of looks up his elbow drop Yeah, and he's any guys kind of go down and the ref calce me just looks up at the what?
He's finished ball dancing with an elbow. Yeah, it was shit. That is really shit. Yeah, and ball density honestly I mean I was the whole ball for think of what was kind of amusing but I'd start I felt it's that boring until I'm in black ball and I was like this guy's brilliant Yeah, so funny because if you remember as well like my reactions when they were gonna put bald emcee against Baron Corbin I was like holy shit.
This could be like fine. It's like ball was like really like strong. Oh, yeah like crazily Pretty sure you can go both ways. Yeah, you can easily go both ways ways really versus our performer.
Oh God. Yeah, I Hopefully using my life doesn't get squashed for every new bit of fucking talent that they try sorry I that was not necessary fuck I didn't mean to say that however that Elias Samsung or whatever it is Can I just piss me out? I feel like if you weren't on the tour go away. Yeah, yeah Yeah, do your time do your time in all those live shows and build up some rapport with the audience is showing up with the Baby not his fault.
It's a fucking thing. Yeah, but still you can't expect someone to come in Oh, yeah, it's like he's not ready and why it was so he wasn't ready Brooklyn. He's not ready now No, I don't get it the whole thing where he was like so he's playing it after the match He's playing his guitar and like playing a solo on an acoustic in time with his music It's like what you do what you doing mate. Just have it over your shoulder like when he came out And it's just a yeah, it's just a really what he looked the part when he came out when he came out He just had over shoulder fair enough fair do's but there's so much more interesting things going on So why would anybody care?
I mean and the crowd didn't care. No, they didn't I think they under I hate to keep going back to live shows shit If you didn't go and you didn't see them. However watch our videos. Yeah, yeah, go back see you'll see most of what but I Think they really underestimate how much love people have for people on the live shows And I think all Dempsey I think I know I certainly was an I wasn't the only person in that in London who'd been to another show.
Yeah, I was like a great It's gonna be amazing match balls here. Yeah, I'm a major Matching black ball and then when he got finished like that. It was quite quick Yeah, and they did that sort of weird like flying near as well that look like it caught him on the chin Yeah, and it just sort of doing things don't flow like when something's gone wrong. I'm gonna flow It was like oh my god.
What the fuck is going on here? And then he just pulled him over in my elbow drop. Yeah, it was just it was just pointing it's like we'd all We'd all been on the journey with Bull Dempsey We're using black pool where we're in Glasgow You know, we'd all probably be if you're anything like black bush I've been really entertained by him Yeah behind him like oh bull you know Bull Dempsey is hilarious. He's brilliant.
Yeah, he performs really well I'd see that happen with some dude who hasn't even been on the tour is a bit shit Yeah, definitely don't fucking know who he is and you feed in the guy to the walls a little bit as well because none of the crowd No, he is because it because no videos. I mean those I think they overestimate the power of those vignettes So like nobody gives a shit They want to see the person if I if I'm some and you know he could have been on some of the other shows We want on black pools. That's all yeah, that's true. Actually.
I mean I've not I some of the reports I saw I didn't see him on there knowing my little high bros all been on every show I know Because the like I think mojo or the tweeted like the day before take over saying or the tour needs a bit more height So we're playing out and I'm right. Okay. Um, yeah, it's weird. It's weird.
It's definitely weird I'm still I'm still excited going forward to see just poor Dempsey really I think the other guy We'll see I think they'll hold you the guy back again. I think the whole life Yeah, it was it wasn't a great match and like top to bottom Every match pulled out the bag apart from this one as far as a match when it was I think you know Prince Albert backstage will do it will be like now We've for some reason we decided you should do this and I think it's a I think it's a mistake You'll mess him up before he's because he could be great, you know, and you don't want somebody to peek too early Yeah, and you don't want to force a character on someone either because the character is all right. It's okay It's like drift through plays are but yeah, I feel I got this I have this fear about someone getting out of rose all the time Yeah, and no one wants to get stuck with Adam Rose character and our most characters over on an xt It just didn't work on a show they just might have been Didn't give it enough time. Yeah, they just want a bit funny.
He didn't wrestle for yongs. But anyway, let's get on with the show Indeed, Michelle so speaking of over speaking of getting over the final match on the evening Was an absolute treat because out first we got the perfect 10 who is tied linger It was really showing himself to be a superstar even though he is according to London crowd a top-notch One could show a chance. Sorry was my favorite one of my favorites tonight. It's like so such a London thing.
Yeah, isn't it? It was great, but the the little promo that he did backstage on on Zane the whole Yeah, I mean sadly and what I said while we watching it. I think if Dylan Jiggo was all dropping is perfect And that would be the biggest mistake ever that's the kind of the yes, chun and that ten-junt You can't have it I think I think I think there's room but they won't do it. No because it'll take away Won't come back well less assume less assume years or if Dylan Jiggo's up It'll turn up as a different character.
That'll suck that will suck so much It was like big E and big E is doing amazing work now with new day. However, yeah took a really long time I thought he was out on his ass because it's like after the five thing You know pin people for five and everyone in NXT was chanting five and it was so over and I was like And then he came on and it was like oh god He's music even started 3a and off I need five But he just completely I hate the fact that they do that because it's like they go up people go up for a reason It's not just on their local muscle ability. It's on it's mostly on your crowd interaction. Yeah, mostly I think that section of your character is I think the time is different now though like if somebody goes up they go up as their character unless you like a Tylenja who they've made so Finn Balor's not gonna change his fucking character.
I'm saying he's not gonna change his character Oh, and then changes character, you know, I think that because the sign out arenas and all this shit now, you know, hopefully They won't be close. I hope Dylenja keeps that 10 is It was kind of 10 is so good that my fear is they'll still take it off him and put it on somebody else No, they can't do that. Well, I kind of felt like they did that That would be huge. I thought I did that a bit though with Breeze yeah, and this yeah, but that wasn't like a chance That was just a gimmick in the money maker and all that sort of stuff They saw that he was working and then I mean Tyler Breeze being like how to die.
Oh, this is my fear. Don't go up Shows amazing the show's gonna get you know the audiences are just gonna get bigger every show you paid more You know, they're just hanging there hanging there hanging there in my life Yeah, yeah, so the much Had the returning Sami Zayn to an absolute heroes welcome here as well like I think the video that we we managed to get a bit and also the The actual tape in of it doesn't quite put over how loud that raw was that pop was for him because it was unbelievable The pop was absolutely unbelievable You know, it was just it was just insane It was insane to be a power, but it did feel like during the match the crowd were a bit tired Oh, definitely definitely it had been a long night and nobody we knew we knew Zayn was coming out But then the show finished and yeah, well, I was I was like where the fuck Zayn? Yeah, like trying to get me caught like what the fuck is Like we said before Greg Hamilton after coming out everyone to come back Yeah, because we've got another match It was a long it was a long shows a long night and obviously they didn't want the crowd to peek too early because after the tag team Thing and then if you put Zayn on you know with the tapings before you know live show It had been too much and I think the live show might suffer a little bit. Yeah, maybe yeah, especially towards the end of it You know the ball is not sure.
Yeah, perhaps I don't know but they wanted to save, you know The best moment should we say to last but the crowd was certainly tired and even it's not a case of you know Coming out of it and watching it back and going the crowds tired, you know, you said to me and said Everybody's tired you can tell I was not good by that boy is people You know what what you see these actually a bit of a pleasant surprise because I thought it was gonna be a lot more Yeah, like it like goes that the chance sounded subdued by the way the old agents were obviously loud But it didn't sound like everybody was really get up I think what peaked the crowd was the initial pop and everybody kind of blow the what on that initial pop and then that's well My thing with that was that he came out and it was such this feeling and again I hated later point when we went to blackboard. We saw him. We you know, we had our big moment However, it was still crazy in London. Yeah, so many people there They say came out everyone's buzzing and then remember he's got a match.
Oh, yeah Coming out was enough. He obviously had to wrestle because he's not back unless you're wrestling So he had to have a match But it was just him being there and then I think they perked up again when he started talking at the end Yeah, it was a match that made everyone go home. Well the match itself was really good. It's a fantastic worker So, I mean you've got to say as well with the prestige that's Sammy's bringing to To an extent like the fact that he was the guy before he went away now It's better at the thing you say black pool with I thought I did a lot for this company though this this this alternative brand but he's done so much more and You can argue he has but the match itself was great and you could because of the guy is because he's one of their top guys You would have think that Zane got to pick who he wanted to go against and if he was only like single-handedly picked outside He'll enjoy that's great.
Yeah, yeah great for him great for him I think when you can come out of the map like you can watch a match and yeah It might not be the most phenomenal match that seems not meant to be but you just go yeah I think you know when a match isn't right. You know my parents not like you know my person's not right because yeah Just doesn't like something It's a charge you out and you go oh dear. Yeah, definitely yeah, no, I'm massive massive fun Yeah, but yeah, no the same the same thing at the end worried about his arm So feel like he's going when every pump if this pumps there, I'm like start just don't do it. Don't do it.
Yeah That's how you Ridiculous you got too excited. Yeah When he's done that things with his arms. We just eat twice in the first yeah I just cringe every time because he's just in case just in case but yes We went with a helluva kick and gets a bit emotional about talking about In being back and it was quite heavily edited on the show. It's how edited it went a little bit longer for the live crowd But yeah, so what's I'm well?
We have about six minutes six minutes well not for the final six minutes Let's talk about winners and losers of this this week. So the UK tour week. Okay. Yeah, so not into too much detail No, but we yes, yeah, so massive winners obviously Jordan Gable Yeah massive winners.
I think a huge winner out of it Which will pay off from morning the long term is tied in the job. Yeah, tight Ellen Joe Bailey Bailey is Rockstar who got someone got someone one of our followers and like somebody was a show called a rock star. Yeah, she's rock star She's just fantastic I bought emcee. I really enjoyed that.
It was a really it was a really fun part of the show for me in black pool Yeah, but in black pool. Yeah, that's why London was disappointed And so he wanted me for the tour, but not for not for what happened. Yeah, which is a shame Yeah, I mean and some he's aing as well like what's what's next some he's aing I mean We've spoke about this would a zane versus baller main event work because the bow faces I think in XC does work. I mean last point on the main roster I think it would work on the main roster as well I think if you pour zane in a number one contenders fatal four way because Baron Corbin's now said he's the next One line and I agree.
You know I would be happy with that I wish that this many time in the next day the fact that they don't have a mediary or intermediary sorry title likely into content So it doesn't label anybody so anybody can go for it anytime and Yeah, then we can see zane versus baller And what I want to see is in Dallas where they do the next arena one is a versus baller They come together the shake hands and then they have an amazing match That's that's what I would love to see I mean I think Corbin versus baller might be the one for Dallas Or it could be like the Apollo cruise effect when Apollo cruise guys tile shop or they were interrupted by Corbin and all this So yeah, but yeah, I don't think either one of them needs to turn heel there I think just have to match because they obviously want that they obviously want that big moment and this year obviously WrestleMania will have a live special the day before like they did with yeah, so that'll happen Royal Rumble it might happen as well Yeah, well that's probably a bit close roll I'm already announced our Dallas one But yeah, I mean We always say like oh a couple of people move up what they left with and they constantly remind you of all these new guys And that's when they start dripping these new guys through I think an interesting point as well We'll be to see what happens to Samoa Joe now and it was a great little image at the end with Joe bleeding from the mouth You know great shot. Yeah, if he came back and tried it again, you know that'd be another fantastic match You know they've got all these people that are just really exciting I'm just think this is amazing and it is it is what this is the rock the reason why we've started up next Because we wanted to just solely talk about NXT on a show like we've read the feedback and also planning It wasn't negative it was more like People just saying you know you are talking about Raw and half the show is dedicated to NXT But yeah, I just yeah, I just can't I can't wait to see what comes really exciting. It's really really exciting I'm intrigued. I'm intrigued in the best possible way I don't want any spoilers that I want to know I just want to watch it or vol because I think Everyone has this kind of theory that NXT is gonna end up being corrupted at some point It's so popular and so popular so popular.
Yeah, well they put it on the USA Yeah, that's that's the worry however that journey there We'll never see this again You'll be you will never get this opportunity again because they fuck up NXT will never be able to start this Mental brand that small people just won't buy it. Yeah, so this has to be done correctly It has to be done right and I think they're just amazing at the moment. They can't put up They're not putting a foot wrong as our gripes are so tiny.
