UPDATE: A Year Later — Honoring Shirley, My Current Services & What’s Next (Including Senior Legacy Documentation)

from Stories for Supper · host Sara Shum

After a year away, I’m finally sitting back down at this microphone to share where I’ve been, why this podcast paused, and where it’s headed next. This project has always been a labor of love, born from the belief that so many stories die with our loved ones. Even with just two episodes out in the world, your emails, texts, and reviews have meant more to me than you know. In this episode, I open up about the pause, the hardships of this past year, and my commitment to preserving the voices and life lessons of the people we love most.I’m also honoring Shirley Smith, my very first guest, whose celebration of life is happening now. I’m so incredibly grateful I was able to sit down with her and record her stories. Today, I’m sharing updates on my current services, including in-home and virtual fall risk assessments and wellness check-ins, along with the bigger vision I have for legacy storytelling, strength groups for aging loved ones, and celebrating the gift of aging in a way we don’t talk about enough. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out.
