Die AfD hat ihren Bundesparteitag in Magdeburg begonnen. Zum Auftakt des Treffens hat Parteichef Tino Chrupalla betont, dass die AfD künftig mitregieren will. Am Wochenende berät sich die Partei zur Europapolitik und der Europawahl 2024. Tilman Steffen, Politikredakteur bei ZEIT ONLINE, begleitet den Parteitag und erklärt, was die AfD vorhat. Bundesgesundheitsminister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) hat heute gemeinsam mit Hausärzten den nationalen Hitzeschutzplan vorgestellt. Er will die Zahl der Hitzetoten, die 2022 bei rund 8.000 lag, dieses Jahr halbieren. Nach dem Putsch in Niger hat sich der Chef der Präsidentengarde, General Omar Tchiani, zum neuen Machthaber des Landes ernannt. Den bisherigen demokratisch gewählten Präsidenten Mohamed Bazoum halten die Putschisten weiterhin im Präsidentenpalast fest. Am zweiten Tag des Russland-Afrika-Gipfels hat der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin angekündigt, die diplomatischen, wirtschaftlichen und militärischen Beziehungen mit zahlreichen afrikanischen Staaten weiter auszubauen.
