Update - HLA loses Judicial Review v Hull City Council

**IMPORTANT UPDATE** The Humber Landlords Association lost their case with Hull City Council in the recent judicial review over the changes to enforcement policy notices. Not an ideal result to say the least. The Humber Landlords Association will now more than likely appeal the decision from which that result will be final. We are disappointed with the outcome for various reasons. 1)  It can set quite a dangerous precedence up and down the country if councils are able to go straight to serving formal notices rather than informal notices first. Especially when you will get charged for this. 2)  The judge on the day was a specialist in contract law. This may or may not have had an affect on the judges viewpoint of the case.
