Update on activities at the Brazos County juvenile services department is given to county commissioners

This podcast contains comments from the December 16, 2025 Brazos County commission meeting.This week's Brazos County commission meeting included an update on activities in the juvenile services department.The first detailed report requested by commissioners from director Linda Ricketson included 30 juveniles in the 80 bed detention center and 21 wearing electronic monitoring devices.89 juveniles are on pre-court monitoring waiting to go to court and 191 are on probation.Ricketson also provided information about counseling services that are provided.She also brought up Christmas presents being donated from two sources. 54 families are being served by the MASH toy drive. And the Badell Chapter No. 9 of the Order of The Eastern Star that is located in Bryan provided 32 stockings for those in the juvenile center. The stockings contain a variety of snacks and restaurant gift cards.
