Update on the South African Covid- 19 vaccine

The search for a COVID-19 vaccine recently hit a hurdle with the suspension of the Oxford trial due to a reported side effect in a patient in the UK. While the trial has since resumed, some experts have raised questions about the current safety protocols in place for vaccine trials.
