Update requested for Maugherow Community Centre

This mornings meeting of the Sligo Drumcliff Municipal District of Sligo County Council will hear calls for the Local Authority to contact the HSE for an update on the proposed Service Level Agreement for the delivery of day services at Maugherow Community Centre. The Centre is currently in need of upgrade works with Sligo LEADER supporting the local Community in establishing a parish committee to manage the facility and assisting with applications for relevant grant funding. Fianna Fail Councillor, Edel McSharry wants the HSE to confirm what progress has been made regarding the Service Level Agreement. Cllr. MacSharry claims the recent sale of the Carageen Health Centre, adds greater significance to the roll out of services in Maugherow. She wants to establish if there any alternative premises available, or if the HSE will provide funding for supporting the necessary upgrade works at Maugherow Community Centre.
