The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) held their World Congress in Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Vienna, Austria, on the 6-9th August 2022. The congress brought together leading experts in lung cancer from around the world, to hear practice-changing trial updates and discuss the best ways to improve care for patients.   In this podcast, we hear from Dr Rachel Murray of Leeds Cancer Centre, UK, on the Yorkshire Enhanced Stop Smoking (YESS) study, and Professor Sanjay Popat from the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, UK, on the Phase III CALGB140503 trial. Professor Martin Reck, from the Lung Clinic Grosshansdorf, Germany, gave us an overview of some of the key trials presented at the congress, including JAVELIN, PRIMUS, NintNivo, IMpower010, and NADIM, and Dr David Baldwin of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, UK, talks on the impact of COVID-19 on lung cancer care and how the effects can be mitigated.
