Upgrading Graduate Skillsets

75 million youths around the world are unemployed. Only half of youth surveyed by McKinsey in 2012 believe that their undergraduate studies improved their employment opportunities, and almost 40% of employers say a lack of skills is the main reason for entry-level vacancies. Closer to home, more than 50% of Malaysia’s fresh graduates are deemed to have unsatisfactory English communication skills amongst other lacking skillsets, and yet, many of these inexperienced job-seekers expect unrealistically high starting salaries.
