Upper Township to vote on whether to require beach tags in Strathmere

This could be the last summer of free beaches in Strathmere. The Upper Township Committee is set to vote Monday night on an ordinance that would require beach tags from the Friday before Memorial Day to the end of September. Season tags in the Cape May County town would cost between $30 and $45. A single day would be $10. Most shore points charge for access to the sand and surf. Notable exceptions include the Wildwoods and Atlantic City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images)
