Upsygals are out to save Mother Earth through sustainable fashion | Cool Story Bro Ep. 27

from Cool Story Bro Podcast · host Masses

In this week's episode of Cool Story Bro, I caught up with founders of Upsygals", pronounced like “up-cycles”. The two of them started Upsygals with the vision to reduce fabric waste by shopping at thrift stores and converting them into a unique piece of garment. The unique thing about what they do is that every piece of art/garment will be only one of one. Meaning you won't have to worry anyone else wearing the same piece of garment as you when you go out. Xinyi is a fashion design graduate from RMIT Melbourne, and her best friend Qianku, a vegan scuba instructor understood that shopping at thrift stores can be a bit tedious due to the smell and dust, or most garments are either outdated or ill-fitted. The two of them are only 23 at the moment, and they are already championing sustainable fashion with the vision to change perspectives and introduce everyone the benefits of being a sustainable fashion company. Be sure to check out their website for more information on sustainable fashion or if you simply just want to purchase their products.
